About this item

Feature. The quick-growing seductive grass forms clumps of soft green hair-like foliage with a succession of lighter green flowers during summer.
Mature size. Nassella tenuissima can grow at about 24 inches tall, with a slightly greater spread. It thrives in10 and 11(USDA).
Easy to grow. Mexican Feathergrass is drought-tolerant and totally hardy. It is easy to germinate and fast-growing. Once planted can live for years with a minimal amount of care.
Use. The leaves are a silvery green to lime-green making it a good foil for darker plants, for which the plant can be used as a backdrop. It is also a good plant to use in borders for cottage gardens.
Germination. Place seeds on a layer of potting mix then cover with a thin layer of the same potting mix, soil, or sand. Keep the seeds moist with a temperature range of 68 – 72F, germination is usually within 21 days.

I could not get the grass to sprout.

I have a home green house (for the last 20years) where I grow and maintained hundreds of plans and flowers. This father grass is the thing i could not get to sprout. I spent a lot of time goggle searching, and watching YouTube videos, and i am doing the same technique others are using. i planted the seed at least four times with no luck
