Re: Aloe volkensii
Tall Tanzanian Aloe- may be nearly the tallest aloe species of them all (well over 30 feet)... branching, glaucous-leaved plant with small brown teeth. Leaves fairly flat/straight though in older plants can be a bit recurved. Flowers in late winter to early spring are bright ret on highly branched inflorescences and in fairly compact head-shaped racemes. Plant is a fairly fast growing one and very attractive, and no idea why there are not more of these growing... only one I have seen was my own, and it was a beauty. Hope it's still doing well. Cold hardiness to around 26F with some leaf damage at this temperature.
