CORVALLIS, Ore. - In wet conditions in the Beaver state, the Wildcats pulled out solid performances headlined by Johan Correa breaking the CWU men's outdoor 800m record to move to seventh in all of Division II.

Johan Correa completed his indoor-outdoor CWU school record sweep of the men's 800m in the invitational section at the Oregon State High Performance meet. His time of 1:49.71 is the fastest electronically timed run by any Wildcat in history and jumps to number seven in Division II this season. Correa broke the CWU indoor 800m record in 2023 with a time of 1:52.82.

E'lexis Hollis took the win in the women's 100m dash in a time of 11.85 seconds followed closely by Juliette Williams who clocked her second fastest 100m dash of the season in 12.30 seconds.

Donna Marie Harris finished in third place for the 400m dash – completing the full track lap in 48.67 seconds, her second fastest of the season.

In the hurdles, Aiden Wise took second place with another sub-15 second time in the 110m hurdles (14.97 seconds) along with a seventh-place finish in the 400m hurdles (55.41 seconds).

Josh Boast took third in the 400m hurdles (53.93 seconds) and sixth in the 110m hurdles (15.36 seconds)

Also taking third place, Lauryn Chandler ran her second fastest time of the season in the 100m hurdles at 14.13 seconds.

In the women's 400m hurdles Zoe McDevitt added another top-five finish, coming in at fifth in a time of 1:04.73.

In the open section of the men's 800m Max Hutton ran the two laps in a time of 1:53.29, good enough for fourth place.

Upping the distance to the 5000m, Colin Hitchcock took another top-five finish, clocking in at 16:17.91 for fourth place.

A host of Wildcat women earned PRs in the distance events; Allison Smith (1500m), Hannah Mikkelsen (3000m Steeple), Beatrice Le Gore (5000m), Camryn Holterhoff (5000m)

In the jumps Isaiah Webster finished with two top-three finishes. First finishing third in the long jump with a leap of 7.10m (23'3.5") before jumping a PR in the triple jump of 14.59m (35'10.5") to finish second.

Lauryn McGough continued her comeback in the pole vault, finishing in third place with a vault of 3.49m (11'5.25") in rainy conditions.

The men's and women's 4x100m relay teams ended the Wildcat's day with two more top-five finishes – the men in third (41.84 seconds) and the women's in fourth (46.59 seconds).
UP NEXT
After resting this weekend, our Wildcat decathletes and heptathletes will travel to Bellingham and open championship season at the GNAC Multi-Events Championship on April 29-30. The rest of the team will head back to Hayward field to compete at the Oregon Twilight on May 3rd in preparation for the GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Ellensburg on May 10-11.
