Ixia campanulata

Corm 10–23 mm diam. Stem simple or with a basal branch. Leaves 5–10, erect or suberect, linear or subulate, 5–20 cm long, 5–10 mm wide, usually with prominent midvein and margins. Inflorescence 1–9-flowered, flowers crowded. Primary bracts toothed or truncate with 1 cusp, 4–6 mm long, membranous, often hyaline, white or pinkish. Flowers bright crimson with white stripes on outer surface or white with red stripes on outer surface. Perianth tube narrowly cylindric, expanding at apex, 2–4 mm long; lobes erect to spreading, 1.2–2.5 cm long, 8–12 mm wide, with apex obtuse or acute. Staminal filaments free, 3–5 mm long; style branches spreading at level of anthers or above anthers, 3–4 mm long.   Oct.
