'Cristata the King' is derived from an evergreen fern native to the moist woodlands of eastern Europe and Asia. Grows into a shuttlecock fern form and has light green fronds that mature into a darker green shade. The tall arching fronds have leaflet edges that divide and are crested to create a ruffled texture. Ferns grows 3 feet wide and 3 feet tall.
Best suited in moist shady areas and can be used as an understory and bedding plant. Semi-green to evergreen depending on zone/climate.
