One of the most planted broadleaves tree in the world. This species is mainly used for timber to build pergolas, phone boxes and fishing boats. It is planted in parks, gardens, paths and resist to contamination very well. That is the reason why it is widely used in urban areas. Nitrogen fixing ability. It is cold and dry resistant. Deciduous tree up to 25m. Thick bark cracked and blackish. Oval and deep-green leaves hanging at night. White, scented clustered flowers densely set, hanging and very attractive. The fruit is a flat brown or cinnamon coloured pod which can be 10cm long. Fast growing specie.

Place the seeds in boiing water at 90ºC for 5 seconds and immediately after transfer to running water with ice cubes in it. Soak for 48h and then proceed to the direct sowing.
