Growing up to 25cm tall and spreading like a ground-cover, this adorable little Crassula has pale, slightly furry green leaves and dark pink/maroon stems. The star shaped flowers are an off-white and can appear year round but mostly through autumn and winter here in Queensland, Australia. Crassula Expansa is sometimes prone to mealy bug which is difficult to catch as they are such tiny leafed plants, so early detection is key. This particular Crassula is native to many parts of Africa including Madagascar.
I prefer to propagate early autumn when the weather is temperate. This Crassula actively grows from autumn through to late spring. If propagated in early autumn it has the entire three seasons to grow before going into semi-dormancy phase.
