This wattle is restricted to the Kimberley region extending south into the Pilbara.
Acacia adoxa is a spreading shrub up to 1.2 m high with yellow flower. It occurs around red sandy soils, sandstone, stony plains & ridges.
Edible grubs occur in the rootstock. Seeds are harvested by ants.
