Sanvitalia progumbens - Mexican Creeping Zinnia

Sanvitalia progumbens - Mexican Creeping Zinnia

A creeping, abundant flowering Mexican Zinnia that is an annual, but will be a perrenial in mild coastal areas. The plant needs between 6-8 hours of direct sunshine to perform at its best. Plant in well drained soils that have plenty of organic matter, and allow to become a bit dry between waterings. The orange-yellow flowers have a green center. Growing to only 6 inches high, this one will spread in your garden.  Used in the foreground or as edging plants, they bloom in summer. Hardy from zones 2-11, but is an annual, so will not come back after winter is over.
