Homeowner Growing Tips: Plant in shade or part sun. Best in acidic to neutral soil; amend with compost before planting, and apply a layer of mulch, pine needles, or chopped leaves afterward. Provide consistant moisture, especially through the heat of summer. Remove spent fronds in early spring, when new growth is 6" high. Divide in spring as new leaves unfurl, if needed.
