Morphology Branches
Young branches tomentellous with spreading brown hairs.
Morphology Leaves
Leaves: petiole 0.6–1.5 cm; lamina (2)3–7(9.2) cm from base of midrib to tip of lobes, lobed for half to two thirds of its length with the angle between the lobes 20–45°, cordate to sometimes truncate at the base, the lobes rather narrow and often rather distinctly obtusely pointed, glabrescent above, fairly densely covered with irregularly spreading brown hairs beneath, especially on the rather prominent veins.

Morphology Reproductive morphology Flowers Androecium
Fertile stamens 5; 5 staminodes united for nearly all their length into a yellow linear-oblong or spathulate strap, 1.5–3 × 1–2.5 cm.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Flowers Gynoecium Pistil
Ovary brown villous; stigma capitate-peltate.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Fruits
Pods 7–16.5 × 2–2.5 cm, irregularly oblong to linear-oblong, rusty brown-tomentose when young but somewhat glabrescent when older and revealing a dark reddish-brown surface.
Morphology Reproductive morphology Seeds
