The leaves are simple alternate, with very short petiole, with obovate blade (1 - 4 cm). The lower side is covered with a whitish woolly felting. The upper side is less woolly. The inflorescence is axillary and forms glomerules or false erect spikes. The flower has neither sepals nor differentiated petals, but 5 white tepals. It is whitish woolly. The fruit is a circular and compressed capsule with kidney-shaped, black, shiny seed.
