stems shrubby, slender, erect, much branched at the base, densely coated, like the leaves and sepals, with pale brown or drab persistent silky tomentum, 1/2–1 ft. long; leaves linear, entire, acute, nearly sessile, 4 1/2–6 lin. long, thick in texture, midrib very stout; peduncles ascending, always 1-flowered, very silky, longer or shorter than the leaves; bracts minute, linear; calyx 3 lin. long; sepals oblong or ovate-oblong, obtuse; corolla twice as long as the calyx, whitish, brown-silky down the keel of the divisions; capsule as long as the calyx. null
