Information
Liane with young branchlets rusty-tomentellous. Leaves tomentose to glabrescent, with petioles 2–10 cm. long; blade elliptic, ovate-elliptic or ovate-lanceolate, rounded to subcordate at base, obtuse to shortly cuspidate or longly acuminate at apex, rigid to subcoriaceous, 7–18 cm. long, 5–13 cm. wide, glabrescent above, rusty-tomentose to puberulous on the nerves beneath; nerves in 3–6 pairs. Male inflorescences axillary or springing from the old stems, of pedunculate cymules arranged in corymb-like clusters; peduncles 0.5–1 cm. long, greyish-tomentellous. Male flowers with greyish-tomentellous pedicels 1–2 mm. long furnished with 3 bracteoles; sepals 12–18, the 9–12 outer 2–4 mm. long and 1.5–3.5 mm. wide, the 3–6 inner 5–7 mm. long and 3.4 mm. wide; petals 0.5–1 mm. long; stamens 6, 3.5 mm. long. Female inflorescences similar to the ♂; peduncles of the cymules up to 2 cm. long and becoming robust in fruit. Female flowers with 20–25 carpels about 2 mm. long. Drupes truncate at base, 1.7–3 cm. long, 1.5–1.7 cm. wide. Seeds 2–2.5 cm. long.
