Common Vervain is listed by the government as an annual to a perennial. Seems to be a perennial around here and if nourished makes a decent ground cover for small areas such as tree wells. It is more leggy and vigorous the second year. (If you believe everything on Google and Facebook, you can place the dried flowers in an amulet around your neck and if a vampire touches you it will be destroyed in flames.)
