This Huernia plant produces small, star-shaped flowers in the summer that are yellow or reddish-brown in color and have a strong, unpleasant odor that attracts flies. The flowers usually last for a few days before falling off, and this crested variety may produce several blooms throughout the blooming season.

This Huernia should be watered sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can cause the plant to rot, so it is important to be careful not to water it too often. Propagation of the Crested succulent can be done by stem cuttings or by division.
