Scandix pecten-veneris L. subsp. pecten-veneris

Taxonomy: Fam. Apiaceae// Genus: Scandix// Species: Scandix pecten-veneris L. Subspecies: Scandix pecten-veneris L. subsp. veneris.

Determined according to the botanical keys provided by Tutin (Umbelliferae – key to genera) and Cannon (Scandix L.) in Tutin at al. (1968) and Matevski (Umbelliferae – key to genera) and Micevski (Scandix L.) in Micevski (2005).

Habitat: Found in open habitats- grassland, near roads and on disturbed ground.

Distribution: Native from the Mediterranean region to West Europe, Central Europe and Switzerland, North Africa and Central and South Asia (India) according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).

Lifeform: Annual, therophyte according to the Raunkiaer system.

Flowering period: Spring: APR, MAY.
