Arabis alpina, commonly known as mountain rock-cress or alpine rock cress, is a mat-forming, tufted, procumbent, evergreen perennial of the mustard family that typically grows to 8-10â tall but spreads to 20â wide or more.
Arabis 'Old Gold' has no toxic effects reported. Arabis alpina is a PERENNIAL growing to 0.2 m (0ft 8in) by 0.4 m (1ft 4in). It is hardy to zone (UK) 5 and is not frost tender. It is in flower from March to May, and the seeds ripen in June. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by Bees, Lepidoptera (Moths & Butterflies).
