This is an atypical spearmint occasionally referred to as curly due to the deep venation. The leaves of this variety are ovate rather than lanceolate with serrations that are shallow. Stems are maroon/purple. The flowers are pink in spicate inflorescences. Does not flower readily. The scent is strongly spearmint.
This is a family favourite for mint sauce and mojitos.
