Description
Oxeye Daisy 9cm Pot Plants Leucanthemum vulgare
Common names include marguerite or dog daisy.
This cheerful native perennial is commonly seen growing in grasslands and wildflower meadows. The largest native member of the daisy family, oxeye daisy's nectar and pollen-rich large, round flower heads are particularly attractive to bees, butterflies and moths and its seeds provide food for birds.
Oxeye daisy grows best on well-drained soil in a sunny position, but will tolerate partial shade; it is a great addition to informal cottage gardens, wildlife gardens and meadows.
Sourced from native seed and grown for us in the UK, our 9cm pot plants are a quick and effective way to boost species in a wildflower meadow.
We recommend planting around 3 plants per metre square in groups of at least 3 per species for a naturalistic look.
