Abstract
Seven species of Megalastrum have been generally recognized in the West Indies. In this treatment, we recognize nine species for the region, five of which are endemic. We describe a new species (M. angustum), make three new combinations (M. caribaeum, M. gilbertii, M. martinicense), and for all species provide keys, descriptions, complete synonymy, discussions, specimens examined, and illustrations.
