  • Broadleaf, deciduous, tree which has ascending branches, a dominant central leader, and a pyramidal-columnar form.  It may grow to 40-50 ft tall and 20-30 ft wide (12-15 × 6-9 m); reportedly fast growing.  Leaves alternate, simple, elliptical, and margins serrated, the leaf color is lustrous dark green, turning yellow to orange in autumn.  The mottled bark ranges from greyish orange to greyish brown.

  • Sun   Adaptable to soil and acidity, best in moist, well-drained, fertile soil.

  • Hardy to USDA Zone 6     It was discovered in Georgia in1993 in a field at Moon Tree Farm. Its upright pyramidal form with a dominant leader distinguished it from typical Ulmus parvifolia trees.  US Patent PP11,295, March 21, 2000
