  • Deciduous vine, growing to 10-15 ft (3-4.5 m).  Leaves opposite, pinnate or bipinnate compound, 3 leaflets, leaflets 3-8 cm long, serrate with spreading teeth, sometimes 2-3-lobed, bright green.  Flowers bright yellow, lantern-like, 4-5 cm long, usually solitary on long stalks (8-15 cm long); blooms in summer into fall.  Fruit a silvery, mop-headed seed cluster, about 6 cm across.
