  • Broadleaf evergreen shrub, yellow-flecked dark green leaves, spots of unequal size, female (with red fruit), and male (fruitless) clones have appeared.  Grows slower than species.
  • Introduced (1783), before species.  Numerous other variegated types have been developed; some revert back to the green form of the species.
