Morphology
Annual herb about 10-30 cm tall. Stem often much branched from the base, glabrous and slightly pubescent. Leaves oblong to lanceolate, 3-6 x 0.5-1 cm across, margin entire or sparingly toothed and ciliate at the base. Flowers white to pinkish white in small heads, bracts small narrow-lanceolate, calyx limb of fruit obliquely truncate, denticulate much shorter than the fruit. Fruit about 1 mm long, with two filiform cells forming a rim round an ovate-oblong slight depression.
