Description (diagnostics are in brown)

Fruit a cypsela, obcuneate to obovate or oblanceolate, mildly laterally compressed, dorsally gibbous and curved towards ventral side which has a ± distinct longitudinal rib running from the base to the beak, cross-section trigonous, (1.5)2–2.5 mm long x 0.8–1.1 mm wide x 0.9–1.3 mm thick. Surface glabrous, irregularly wrinkled, gray or tan to brown or black with various irregular markings. Apex beaked, beak offset ventrally, ascending. Pappus none.

Style base missing or inconspicuous, cylindrical, whitish. Apical scar 0.1–0.2 mm across.

Fruit attachment scar basal, whitish, a protrusion measuring 0.1–0.2 mm across.
