Finding light for Forked Sundew in your home
Forked Sundew love being close to bright, sunny windows 😎.
Place it less than 1ft from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Forked Sundew does not tolerate low-light 🚫.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Forked Sundew in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Forked Sundew
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Forked Sundew after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Water #ForkedSundew Hello! The nursery where I bought my plant suggested keeping the pot in a tray of water. Is this what you all are doing? This is one of three in my initial foray into carnivorous plants. Thanks!

Hello all! I thought you'd get a kick out of my new mini bog set up. I got this started about 3 weeks ago. I bought all the plants I wanted first (a sundew, 2 purple pitchers, a club moss (still not positive on that ID), and a Venus fly trap) and let them get acclimated to their new space while I waited for my greenhouse to get the pot I requested in. Once the pot arrived and my plants weren't showing any signs of distress, I planted them in this (pictured below) substrate in my awesome new pot! This pot is glazed clay on the outside, so it holds water in the main base, then has a terracotta planter inside that sits in the water and allows the substrate to get moist without overwatering to perfectly replicate how they'd grow in the wild! I have them placed 2ft under a humidifier as well and so far everything is happy as can be! I also have a super special plant you guys will absolutely love, but I haven't finished her set up yet! #cpclubthursday #carnivorousclub #carnivorousplants

Am I a plant killer?? ☹️ these carnivorous plants got all withery and dry. Are they just dormant, or is my curse of plant killing striking again? #imaterribleplantmom

My new staghorn sundew. Now to get it over the shock of shipping and getting it healthy again. Everyone meet Messi
-
My staghorn sundew just came in the mail Saturday and is producing dew already
-
The stag horn again hahaha. Some close up’s of the leaves. The dew is almost like glue. When you pull away from it, it leaves a long strand like pulling away melted cheese

So, I have tried multiple times and I keep getting different answers so you guys think that #Stella my plant is a #ForkedSundew if not, what do you guys think it is? Also check out the #profile and make sure you #Follow #Happyplantsmakehappypeople #happyplantshappylife

Fungus Gnat Muncher!🦟🍴 Just some photos of the sticky leaves of a Cape Sundew with some gnats caught, the plant can even curl its leaf to help it hold and digest the bugs. They make great additions to have around your other indoor plants which is why I bought them in the first place when I had a fungus gnat infestation. They help keep the numbers down. The only catch is they need the same conditions as other carnivorous plants, low mineral water and soil. A great carnivorous plant for any beginner! #carnivorousplants #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict

Tiny Carnies Fresh and Fun! Here's a few photos of different baby carnivorous plants (CPs). The little one that looks like a fan is a "forked" sundew, there's a few photos of tiny sundews (pygmy), a very small nepenthes pitcher from a recent clearance rescue (a new pitcher is good sign, he is behind a larger nepenthes leaf) and finally what looks like a moss forest but is actually a small venus fly trap (in the middle). I may have to move him as he is a bit crowded these days. Amazing how the little plants already display their adult form...only tiny 🔎 #freshleaffriday #freshfeaturedfriday #newgrowth #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #plantmafia #greggang
