Finding light for Venus Flytrap in your home
Venus Flytrap love being close to bright, sunny windows 😎.
Place it less than 1ft from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Venus Flytrap does not tolerate low-light 🚫.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Venus Flytrap in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Venus Flytrap
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Venus Flytrap after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Hi, I have two venus ft that look like this. Do they look healthy? Should there be stalks? should I repot? grow outdoors only? They are positioned on the windowsill of my living room, south facing window. I am located in England, UK.

Deathstalker is coming back to lifeeee!! 💀 After his repot into sphagnum moss, he didn't react so well and all of his traps died off. So I decided to put him outside in the sun, kept him adequately moist, along with the rain's help. Now look!! There is about 3 or 4 baby traps pushing up through the moss!! Woohoo!! 🎉 Maybe I can get the knack of these unique plants after all!! @Seymour #cpclubthursday #carnivorousplants #carnivorousclub #venusflytrap #greggers #greggang #happyplants

My VFT is turning black #venusflytrap I've noticed a black spot on a newly growing trap it made me suspicious that something bad was happening so I checked the roots and it had root rot. I dealt with it and cut off the blackening trap, now it appears the other traps are turning black as well so I investigated but none of the bulb looked black but the traps still appeared with black spots. Before this I checked for pests but there are no signs something had even touched the plant what should I do? (After the rot there was just mainly bulb left)
