Finding light for Plectranthus caninus in your home
Plectranthus caninus may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Plectranthus caninus in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Plectranthus caninus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Plectranthus caninus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Anyone know the cultivar name for this #coleus? Brought this little beauty home from the local Ace Hardware garden center yesterday to add to my growing painted nettle collection and cannot find a name for this specific cultivar anywhere. Google is having a hard time finding similar pictures to compare with, and Ace hadn't labeled them yet as they had just recently got them in off the truck. Anyone here familiar?? Whatever it's supposed to be called, I can't wait for hybrids with this fella. Such incredibly rich colors. 😍 Edit: Was finally able to identify with the help of community members here and on FB that this is actually a #perilla plant! Related to coleus, but not the same! Thanks everyone!

Do you think Goldie’s pot is too small? Seems like a lotta leaves for a tiny pot. #PlantAddict #Coleus

I love Coleus!!! These are currently on my porch for the spring/summer. I'm thinking I'll take them in when it gets below freezing and see how long I can keep them alive during the winter. Can you do that with these? Also, a sweet potato vine because it's pretty!! 💜 #greggang #coleus #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #planttherapy #porchplants #sweetpotatovine #greggers #gregfeedback

All my #coleus So I've noticed that all of my coleus get so tall and leggy instead of filling out. I've got them all under grow lights. I plan on starting my spring propagation next week, should I cut them all down, combine pots, etc?

really have been enjoying nature &’ the weather lately! 🍄🟫🌿🪺🌏🐛 Today me & my boyfriend planted some Coleus, &’ Red Salvia. They are little now but I know for sure the coleus will be huge in no time 🙌🏻 My mom grows coleus every year, from seeds that she harvested the previous year, how cool is that? She gave me to small starter pods of coleus seedlings. They are purple mixed with pink, yellow or green varieties. Coleus hold a special place in my heart because it’s on the plants we grew & learned a lot about, when I was in horticulture class in high school. I also made an earth jar with all the different things I saw/found on our river walk today. 🐚🍃⛰️ 🌲 #HappyPlants #Coleus #Salvia #naturefinds #nature #natureatitsfinest #sundayfunday #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #OutdoorGrowing #OutsidePlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #WildFlowers #nativeplants #riverwalk #PlantTherapy
