Description
This deciduous shrub grows in a wide range of soils. The pink or white flowers cascade along arching stems in late spring and then form showy red seed capsules. Birds eat the seeds and the exfoliating bark provides winter interest in the landscape. Ninebark is a larval host to 37 species of butterflies and moths.
