Geranium sanguineum
One of the most reliable of all geraniums, able to grow in a variety of situations. Full sun- part shade; average soil and heat tolerant. Large, bright purple-red flowers in June-July with a dense mound of foliage that will provide blood-red fall color. 12-18", Z3-8.
