Cheilanthes (Lipfern) is a genus of herb in the family Pteridaceae. They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, US Minor Outlying Islands, and Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii. They have pinnate leaves. They have alternation of generations.
