Sarcococca Confusa commonly known as Sweet Box is a bushy evergreen shrub which has oval shaped, wavy deep green leaves with a glossy look and texture. In the winter months of December through until March the Sarcococca Confusa will bloom pure white small flowers, highly scented and closely followed by black, glossy berries.
Making a suitable hardy shrub for a variety of location including banks and slopes and is a good low maintenance garden plant for low maintenance schemes and gardens.
Sarcococca Confusa care
Plant the Sarcococca Confusa in a shady area of the garden with moist, well drained soil. Will tolerate full sun if planted in most soil although prefers shady areas! Generally disease and pest free, and some pruning makes this shrub suitable for gardeners of all abilities, an easy to grow plant. In early spring simply trim any branches that spoil the plants natural symmetry, applying a generous amount of mulch to the base of the plant once done.
