Osmunda Regalis

Osmunda Regalis commonly known as Royal Fern is an elegant, deciduous, clump forming fern which forms a large clump of mid green drinks and brown, copper looking pinnae at the tips. In the months of autumn the Osmunda Regalis will turn a stunning shade of red and brown which makes for stunning autumnal interest. Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit for a reason, this fern can be planted in almost any location including flower beds and borders, often underplanting roses and tall shrubs and can suit a variety of schemes.

Plant the Osmunda Regalis in almost any area of the garden as long as it has moist, well drained soils where it will thrive. Known as easy to grow and easy to maintain making this fern a perfect choice for all gardeners, experienced to beginners. Generally disease and pest free outdoors, requiring occasional pruning, simply removing any dead or damaged fronds when they are noticed.
