OINOCHOE IN THE STYLE OF GNATHIA
DATE: IV-III sec. a.. C.
MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: pinkish figulina clay, chamois mottling, shiny black paint, white, yellow and purple overpainting; modelled by fast lathe.
Oinochoe with truncated concave neck, concave profile indistinct from the shoulder, tapering ovoid body, moulded echinus foot, stick handle, set from the rim to the shoulder
DECORATION: entirely painted with the exception of the lower part that is spared; on the neck a band with ivy leaves and corymbs, on the belly a large vine shoot with vine shoots, tendrils and bunches.
PRODUCTION: apulian ceramics in the style of Gnathia
STATE OF CONSERVATION: without the upper part
