Summary[edit]

Description Native, cool season, annual, decumbent to erect, hairy herb to 8 cm tall. Leaves are linear to oblong, flat, to 20 mm long and 4 mm wide. Heads, subtended by foliage leaves, are subglobose and about 5 mm long. Florets yellow and tubular; pappus of 3 or 4 shortly plumose bristles. Flowering is in spring. Grows in scrub and woodland, often on hard red soils.
