There is just this one specimen tree of this species in this garden. About two decades ago it was badly damaged in a storm and some very large branches were torn off. One of these two photos shows how well the trunk has healed and covered the wounds completely with new wood and bark. elsewhere another photo of the same tree shows the normal green of mature foliage (
