Identifying Features

Autumn olive shrubs have brown smooth bark.

Their leaves are alternate and simple, toothless, and have wavy edges. The leaves are a distinct pale green with silvery undersides.

Habitat & Range

Autumn olives are native to Asia. They are invasive in North America and spread easily in fields and open areas.

Life Cycle

This plant produces small pale red berries with white speckles.
