Identifying Features

The flowers of this species are 3/4" with 5 white petals and pink veins.

Leaves are paired midway up the stem and are slender and smooth.

Habitat & Range

This plant lives in moist forests in the eastern half of the United States and southeastern Canada.

Life Cycle

Flowers bloom from April to May.

This plant is an herbaceous perennial that grows from underground tubers. They also reproduce by seed.
