Aloja

Aloja (lat. Aloe) je vrlo popularan rod sukulenata koji sadrži preko 300 vrsta koje dolaze iz Afrike, Madagaskara i iz Arabije.

Ove vrste variraju od sukulenata nalik na travu do onih koje nalikuju na drveće.

Aloe vera je jedna od prvih vrsta sukulenata ikad opisanih.

Uz iznimku najvećih vrsta, većina Aloa voli zasjenjeno mjesto. Isto tako većina njih može podnijeti smrzavanje.

Aloe ponekad zamjenjujemo sa Agavama. Razlika je u tome što list Aloe sadrži biljni sok i Aloe ne umiru nakon što ocvatu.
