Common Name The Lowly Flowering Angraecum

Flower Size .1 to .15" [2 to 3 mm]

Found in Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and northern South Africa on small twigs in montane and submontane forests at elevations of 1300 to 2400 meters as a super-miniature sized, coolto cold growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 2 to 4, linear-ligulate to elliptic, slight bluish green leaves and blooms in the winter on a secund, .6 to 1.2" [1.5 to 3 cm], 4 to 10 flowered inflorescence

This species is separated from A sacciferum and A pusillum by the fact that it is always a twig epiphyte and has a minute inflorescence with up to 12 flowers, A sacciferum is a main trunk or twig epiphyte with a horizontal few [to 5] flowered inflorescence and A pusillum is a main trunk epiphyte or lithophyte and has an upright inflorescence with up to 15 flowers. The other miniature that it can be confused with is Mystacidium flanaganii but it is always a twig epiphyte and has a pendant to 12 flowered inflorescence.
