Main stems erect, but developing into a bushy rounded shrub eventually to 1m in height. Leaves deciduous, trifoliate, the leaflets oblanceolate, 5-20mm long, silky-hairy beneath. Flowers in terminal clusters of four to twelve, deep yellow, about 1.2-1.5cm long. Southern Alps of Switzerland, Italy to Yugoslavia and Greece, among limestone rocks.
